WoW and achievements

Now.. for the lore fanatics and RP geeks, achievements in WoW are among the few ways one can build up one’s character in WoW. There’s like a gazillion things one can do to get them – some you get randomly, like when you fall a certain distance without falling. Others, you actually will have to strive for them.

Whatever the case, one can spend hours doing stuff to get achievements and a few are especially rewardable. Especially those that give titles, or even better, mounts. The holiday achievements are such an example. They all add up to one meta achievement that gives a Violet Proto-Drake. Which is really, really sweet.

However, while I do want the titles and the mounts… I am put off by the amount of work and time that needs to be put into getting it. I start doing them… and a few hours later, get bored and give up. It’s kinda like how I can’t stick to any given hobbies. I like change. I like chasing stuff. But chasing achievements… just not my thing. (Yes, I can stand at the inn and just… stone. But cbf to chase achievements. Go me!)

To all those willing to put in the time and effort to getting these achievements – kudos to you.
